Takis is a biotechnology company specialized in developing breakthrough immunotherapies for infectious disease and oncology fields. Founded in 2009 by a group of scientists from the multinational Merck & Co with over 20 years of experience in gene therapies and immunology, over the years Takis team has provided important direct contributions to the development of new vaccination platforms, including COVID-eVax, a DNA-based vaccine against COVID-19 proven to be safe and immunogenic in a first-in-human phase 1 trial.
